So you're
enjoying your Mountain Biking, but the legs are ready for a day off!
What is there to do here?
Well,
the obvious options are always open to you. Grab a beer (or two) and
go chill out on the beach or by the pool if you don't like the feel
of sand between your toes!
But if
you want to keep things active, you could always try one of the following
activities which we will gladly arrange for you.
SCUBA
DIVING
Try Scuba
Diving with our friends at 24-7
Tenerife. They are a fully accredited PADI diving centre here
in the South of Tenerife. Tenerife is probably not the first place
you would think of going diving, but it has been referred to by many
as a hidden gem, with visibility generally very good and lots of reefs
and caves to explore and sea life to see. I personally have had the
chance with my daughter to play with the turtles only 100m or so out
to sea. A wonderful experience. Try dives cost as little as 50Euros.
KARTING
There
are 2 karting circuits in the South of Tenerife, but Karting Club
Tenerife is probably the best of the two with an amazing circuit that
is also used for international and national competition races. So
for a bit of gasoline powered adrenoline, this is probably the place
to go. Prices start from around 16Euros for 10 laps (or more if you
drive quickly!)
SEA FISHING
If
you want a fight....then look no further! No not with the skipper,
but with the Big Game fish that you're going to haul on board on this
full or half day trip on board SERENITY. Big
Game Fishing Charters will take you to go catch a Tuna for tonights
BBQ and have a great day out doing it. Prices vary so please ask and
we will confirm for you.
WIND
SURFING AND KITE BOARDING
Probably
not for the faint hearted with the wind speeds often encountered around
the coast of El Medano, but if you have always fancied giving it a
try, then beginners lessons are available along with all the necessary
equipment. El Medano is a mecca for wind surfers and kite boarders
from around the world. Often hosting competitions of varying levels.
Even if you don't want to try, it is well worth a visit on a breezy
day to see all of the sails and the kites in the air. Brilliant!
