| For clients who would prefer not to bring their own bikes with them, we now have a small fleet of Marin full suspension bikes available for hire. Maybe you currently ride a hardtail bike and would like to try out a full suspension bike, or maybe you are only planning a day or two's riding so bringing your own bike is not a cost effective option. If so our quality bikes are the perfect option for you.
We only hire out bikes for use with our guided rides and not on general hire for private use.
All the bikes were brand new in October 2011, but will obviously pick up scratches and scrapes through normal use, so may not be in showroom condition when you hire them. However, they are all properly maintained and in a safe condition. Brake pads are changed regularly although pads may not be brand new on your ride, they will have plenty of life left, similarly, tires may not be brand new, but will have a good tread and be free from damage which may affect their safety.
Bikes hired to clients are the clients responsibility and should be safeguarded at all times. Clients are responsible for damages to the bikes however caused whilst in their possession. Replacement parts will be charged at the cost to us. A list of prices for the most common items can be provided on request.
Whilst we will make every effort to make sure that the bikes are in top condition, we cannot be held liable for failure of parts while out on the trail. |
| The Marin Mount Vision XM7 is Marins 140mm XC / Trail bike.

With Fox RP2 rear shock and Rockshox Revalation RLT's with 15mm Maxle light up front it handles anything put in it's path. Braking is taken care of by Avid Elixr stoppers with 180mm rotors up front and 160mm rear. Drive train is a mix of shimano LX and SLX.
So far we have found the bikes to be great allrounders, climbing really well and having good angles for the descents. The suspension gives great small bump sensitivity whilst still handling the bigger hits in a controlled and progressive way.

| The Marin Wolf Ridge II is Marin's 140mm Agressive Trail bike.

The Wolf Ridge 2 has pretty much everything covered on the suspension front, with a Fox RP23 rear shock and Rockshox Pikes with 20mm Maxle on the front. It is a quality bike with LX and SLX shifting and Hope Pro2 hubs keeping rolling duties smooth true. Braking is taken care of by Hayes Stroker Trail units with 200mm front rotor and 180mm rear.
The bikes are great descenders with angles that inspire confidence on the steepest terrain, but with propedal damping activated on the RP23 rear shock, they are also more capable climbers than you would possibly expect.
