Lets ride Downhill !

New this year we have added downhill or Descenso riding to our offering. With so many routes on the island it wasn't long before we realised why there are so many local riders into the downhill scene.

With varied terrain, likened by some to sections of the Megavalanche course, there really is something to tickle the tastebuds of all DH riders.

So what do we offer for DH riders visiting Tenerife? Well, our service provides you with a guide and shuttle service for each day. Rather than pricing per route, we price per day allowing for on average around 3 runs per day.

Our minibus can cater for up to 4 riders along with the guide and driver, so groups are kept small and personal. However, we can manage larger groups by prior arrangement.

Typical itinerary -

Day 1 -

Southern rides - taking in a couple of runs of the popular downhill trails just above the town of Vilaflor in Tenerife which happens to be the highest town in the whole of Spain. We move on to work our way down towards the south coast by taking two ancient camino routes linked by a short section of road to bring us down to the village of Aldea Blanca at around 200m above sea level, a total altitude loss of over 2000m in this one day.

Day 2 -

Northern rides - This day we make the trip to the northern side of the island, taking in some fabulous burranco (rain valley) rides, rough and technical but also fast and flowing where you enter the forests. Generally riding the 1st section once and the second section twice to make the day complete. Total altitude loss on this day is around 4000m !

Day 3 -

Northern Peninsular - Reaching the far north of the island we tackle the rough and rocky single tracks of the Anaga Mountains, steep and unforgiving in nature, this is truely and epic day in all ways.

Day 4 -

Ride with the Chicos - We take the ever popular locals ride from El Portillo to Puerto de La Cruz, descending for over 2 hours from 2000m back down to around 350m. Quite often on this ride we will join with some of the locals to bring a little spice to the ride. Following on from this and depending on time constraints and the weather, we often call into the Bike Park to have a taster of the trails there.

Day 5 -

Bike Park Tenerife - We take the hour or so ride north to the Bike Park where you have the full day to session the many DH trails, dirt jumps, 4x track and even have a try in the foam pit if you fancy it. With the constant uplift service running you can get in as many runs as you like through the day to round off your week of DH riding in Tenerife-
