For a while now we have been riding trails which were not XC but not DH and hadn't quite categorised them. We now realise that what we have been doing falls neatly into the Enduro category.

Enduro riding and racing is a rapidly growing area of MTB riding, especially as people choose to cut back on their bike fleet and have the one "Do it all" bike rather than four or five different bikes.

Tenerife offers the perfect environment to test and improve your Enduro riding, with epic climbs, descents that feel like they will never end and constantly changing terrain which has been likened to Megavalanche terrain by lots of our visitors.

Tenerife is the largest of the seven Canary Islands which are located just off the coast of Africa and a few degrees north of the Tropic of Cancer. This location pretty much guarantees year round sunshine to our visitors, giving you a taste of dry dusty mountain bike trails all year round.

Here at Lavatrax we stick to what we know best, the riding, so we don't manage or operate any holiday accommodation ourselves. However, we can make arrangements on your behalf with various self catering apartment operators, B&B's and Hotels. By using our local knowledge and contacts we are able to offer 1 week mountain biking and accommodation packages from only 345 Euros per person per week. We also realise that not everyone enjoys the luxury of being able to take a dedicated Mountain Bike Holiday, so we still offer the opportunity for riders to enjoy a day or two riding our incredible trails as part of their family beach hoilday. We have a small fleet of top quality hire bikes, both hardtail and full suspension (sorry, but we don't have DH rigs to hire) to make this option as easy as possible. So what type of mountain bike trails do we have in Tenerife and why should I go bountain biking in Tenerife?

Well, there really is something for every mountain biker, beginner to expert. With non-technical scenic rides on gravel roads and Jeep tracks for the beginners to loose rocky roads and forest single-tracks for the more experienced riders. There is really something to suit everyone and always an opportunity to push your limits. We also offer the islands only uplift and shuttle service with specialist guide for DH riders (advanced booking required), allowing you to sample the fantastic downhill trails of Tenerife with minimum fuss and effort. We normally manage to squeeze in between 3 and 4 runs per day and now Enduro riding too.

We offer a standard 6 day programme of XC rides which take in the best mountain bike routes that the island has to offer. A more detailed description of each route can be found on the Routes page of our website.

Our DH weeks are arranged on request, just drop us a line and we will make the necessary arrangements for you. Please note that we there is a minimum group size for the DH uplift service.
For XC rides we can offer a range of other routes in addittion to those in the normal itinerary. We have routes to suit all levels of mountain biker, but remember, there are always hills in Tenerife!
